Apex Legends UI

As a contractor for Gadget-Bot, I was tasked to create custom trackers and banners for Apex Legends that would allow players to showcase their achievements and express their personality.
To create the trackers and banners, I started by analyzing the visual style of Apex Legends and the different types of achievements that players can earn. Apex has a very particular art style that originally developed from its predecessor, TitanFall. Sharp angles, bolts, and metallic borders are a common design language. The trackers and banners had to be striking, while also being informative and easy to read during gameplay.
Trackers and banners not only need to follow the game's general shape language, but also fit the mold of whatever character or season theme it's built under.
Default banners for legend "Newcastle". Designed and created with assistance from rest of team.

Season 12 trackers for Gladiator collection event. Created for characters Mad Maggie & Mirage.

Season 12 trackers for Unshackled event. Created for characters Wraith & Crypto.

Season 12 trackers for Unshackled event. Created for characters Wattson & Pathfinder.

Season 13 trackers for ranked gamemode. Each badge had to evolve from the last to create one cohesive evolution. I developed a shape language around the default ranked badge template that best fit the theme of the current in-game season. A new element of the badge is developed with each ranking, while shapes from the previous rankings continue to grow and contort.

Emote icons for Newcastle & Mirage.

Season 13 level 100 badge. Once the battle pass is completed, the player is rewarded with a animated badge. I was tasked with taking the approved badge design and designing a reference for the motion designers to adapt for the game.
